Disclaimer
NaijaCalc provides general information and calculation tools about money, tax, housing, energy and business costs in Nigeria. It is not financial, tax, legal or investment advice, and it does not create an adviser-client relationship.
Calculators
Our calculators apply published formulas to the figures you enter. They cannot account for your full circumstances, and they do not replace a qualified professional.
Tax calculations in particular depend on facts we cannot see: your state of residence, your employer's payroll practice, your other income, and reliefs you may be entitled to but have not claimed. Before acting on a tax figure, confirm it with a chartered tax practitioner or with the relevant state revenue authority or FIRS.
Data
Prices, tariffs and salary ranges on this site are compiled estimates for planning purposes. They are not quotations, offers, valuations or guarantees.
There is no single national pump price for petrol in Nigeria. Electricity tariff bands B to E are set per distribution company and vary. Salaries for the same role vary by employer, sector and negotiation. Any figure here can be wrong for your specific situation, and every figure carries a date after which it may be out of date.
Salary data in particular is compiled from published surveys and job postings. It is a negotiating range, not a market rate and not evidence of what any employer will pay.
Tax law
Nigeria's tax law changed significantly on 1 January 2026 under the Nigeria Tax Act 2025. Published summaries of the new law disagree with each other in places, and we have flagged those disagreements on the relevant pages rather than choosing silently. Where our figures conflict with guidance from FIRS or your state revenue authority, theirs governs.
Solar, generator and electrical figures
Sizing calculations are engineering estimates based on the inputs you supply. They are not a system design. Real installations must account for cable sizing, protection, charge-controller limits, roof orientation and shading, and local conditions — and must be carried out by a qualified installer.
